TENNIS AT GREVILLE SMYTH PARK

 

 

THE COURTS

These courts belong the citizens of Bristol and are available to all. They were resurfaced in Spring 2009 and provide high-quality playing conditions.
Sited in a pleasant spot with trees and parkland, easily accessible to many city-dwellers, most club members arrive at the courts by bike or on foot.
 
PLAY TENNIS
Either join the Club, which gives you access at any time or, if you don’t want to join, you can book a court from the council park warden (Mike Abnett).
As well as easy access, becoming a member of Greville Smyth Tennis Club provides opportunities for
Entry to the courts is controlled by a combination lock, the code is sent out to Club Members when they join.
 
JOIN THE CLUB
New members are welcome. To join Greville Smyth Tennis Club print off the membership application form below, complete it and send it with your cheque as instructed on the form.
 
 
CLUB SESSIONS
These casual and friendly sessions are a good way to meet other members and have some easy tennis. Members turn up and play at Club Sessions on Sunday mornings 11am till 1pm and Thursday evenings 6 till dark. During the winter 2009-10 the Thursday evening sessions* are being held on two courts with lighting at Ashton Park School from 6.30 till 7.30.
*IF YOU WANT TO PLAY IN THE WINTER THURSDAY EVENING SESSIONS IT IS ESSENTIAL TO EMAIL BECCY BY TUESDAY OF THE SAME WEEK:[bcarron6@hotmail.com].
 
The club system, to avoid long waits, is to play seven games (sudden death at duece), sit out, mix in.
